Richelle Gaw, PhD
Director, Research Science and Medical Affairs
Richelle Gaw was appointed Director, Research Science & Medical Affairs at ImpediMed in 2026, having spent 20 years with the company. She is ImpediMed's internal subject matter expert in bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) technology, leading clinical and scientific validation work across conditions including lymphedema and heart failure. Her role spans work with product development, regulatory submissions, patent portfolio strategy, and peer-reviewed publications. She represents ImpediMed's scientific work to clinical and research partners internationally and leads the company’s research projects. Richelle holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Physics from Queensland University of Technology, where she received the Outstanding PhD Thesis Award.
