L-Dex™ XCA
L-Dex XCA: Determining Extracellular Fluid Levels of the Arm
The L-Dex XCA is a valuable new tool for assisting in the clinical assessment of unilateral lymphoedema of the arm using patented technology. The L-Dex XCA is an accurate bioimpedance analyser that measures impedance and resistance at a single low frequency below 30 kHz. These measurements are used to determine the subclinical changes in the extracellular fluid volume between the affected and unaffected limbs and to calculate the Lymphoedema Ratio.- Single low frequency (<30 kHz)
- Displays L-Dex value, impedance (Z), resistance (R), reactance (Xc), and phase (Ph)
- Includes test cell to check calibration
- Battery operated, hand-held and fully portable
- Lymphoedema analysis software to generate reports
Lymphoedema: Early Detection and Treatment are Critical.
Recognising lymphoedema early and treating it promptly is the best way to manage the condition. Without appropriate and timely treatment, lymphoedema can lead to pain, recurrent infection, reduced mobility and impaired function. ImpediMed has developed bioimpedance devices that, through the measurement of subclinical changes in extracellular fluid (ECF), detect lymphoedema up to 10 months earlier than current methods. The L-Dex XCA has been designed specifically for the earlier detection, risk assessment and monitoring of unilateral lymphoedema of the arms. The XCA provides quick, easy and relevant measurements of lymphoedema, ultimately providing a better quality of life.
Note: This device is not intended to diagnose or predict lymphoedema of an extremity.
Note: L-Dex™ values greater than 10 may indicate the early signs of lymphoedema. The L-Dex scale is a tool to assist in the clinical assessment of lymphoedema by a medical provider. The L-Dex scale is not intended to diagnose or predict lymphoedema of an extremity.
